Sponsorship of CSRDC

How to promote the sustainable development of domestic non-profit organizations through philanthropy innovation has always been a challenge for the Heungkong Charitable Foundation to think, research, explore and solve with practice. To this end, Mei Hing Chak, chairman of the Heungkong Charitable Foundation, sponsored the establishment of the Shenzhen Innovation Corporate Social Responsibility Development Center (“the CSRDC”) in August 2012 and served as its chairman.

As a third-party organization, the CSRDC bears the great responsibility of promoting the development of social influence investment and becoming the pioneer and leader of the social innovation cause, so that it plans to develop 1,000 Chinese social innovation leaders, incubate 1,000 social innovation projects and cultivate 1,000 social innovation enterprises within five years. Between 2012 and 2017, the Foundation made an annual targeted donation of RMB 100,000 to cultivate social innovation talents and foster social innovation models.

In 2013, the CSRDC and the Heungkong Charitable Foundation worked with the Shenzhen Charity Federation to plan and implement China's first outstanding leader training program for corporate philanthropy and social innovation talent - Sparks of Philanthropy. The program aims to cultivate social innovation talents, foster social innovation model project and train elite students from all over the country with the new cultivation method of "professional theories + case practice + field visit + salon forum". The practice of innovative charity model has played an important role in encouraging more philanthropists to enhance the thinking and ability of social innovation, which has generated positive reactions in the society.
