In the evening of April 27, the ceremony of “2012 China Charity List” was held in the Water Cube, Beijing, at which three lists of “Ranking of Chinese Philanthropists”, “Ranking of Chinese Corporate Philanthropy” and “Ranking of Chinese Celebrity Philanthropy” were released. Leaders including Vice Chairman of the National Committee of CPPCC Zhang Rongming attended the ceremony and presented the awards. Mei Hing Chak, Chairman of Heungkong Charitable Foundation, received the title of “Top 10 Philanthropists” in China of the year in the ninth China Charity List, the only entrepreneur in Guangdong province receiving the award. Before this, she had received such titles as “China Charity Award”, “China Philanthropist for Children” and “China Top 10 Women Philanthropists” from the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

After receipt of the title of “Top 10 Philanthropists”, Mei Hing Chak said: “To succeed in business and give back to the society is my life-time pursuit, I feel happy for being able to help those in need!” It’s said that the Foundation will further expand its existing assistance and aiding plans by including more people into its plans so that it could address practical difficulties for more stressed people.
